Website visits and hosting

IP address, time, requested address, technical browser and device information, and connection and error data are processed to deliver and secure this website. The basis is our legitimate interest in an available, secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Technical connection data is necessary to serve the page.

We use OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites. OpenAI Ireland Ltd handles processing on behalf of EEA customers; the infrastructure includes service providers such as Cloudflare. Processing outside the EEA is possible. The applicable agreements provide for adequacy decisions or EU standard contractual clauses. Technical operational data is retained according to its operational and security purpose, including troubleshooting and investigation of abuse, subject to necessary legal retention. The hosting service does not specify one fixed deletion period for all infrastructure logs to us. You can request information about processing of your data from us.

Essential cookies and shortlist

The hosting infrastructure uses Cloudflare’s “__cf_bm” security cookie to detect automated requests. The provider specifies expiry after 30 minutes of inactivity. Its purpose is website protection, not advertising. Cloudflare cookie information.

When you save components, “rd-inquiry” stores only their identifiers and quantities in your browser’s session storage. Removing the last item deletes the entry. Closing the browser session normally also clears it; browser restore features may retain it. “rd-configuration” also stores your selected fixed configurator options (requirement, project type, engine type and specification) in this session storage. You can remove these in the enquiry. Contact details and free text are not stored there. Catalogue search terms and filters appear in the page address so that you can return to or share your selection. When the page is requested, this address is sent to the server and may appear in technical logs. Search text is also passed to the enquiry view temporarily in memory.

These functions support secure delivery and the shortlist you request. Where strictly necessary, device access is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; subsequent processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Google Analytics is enabled only after your separate consent; we do not use advertising cookies.

When you switch between list and image views in the catalogue, we store only that choice at your request under “rd-catalogue-view” in local browser storage. It contains no analytics or advertising identifier, is not sent to us and remains until you clear this website’s data in your browser. Switching views again replaces the choice.

Enquiries and email contact

The direct form securely transmits your name, email address, enquiry and optional project details, configuration, shortlist and files to our website. Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) sends the enquiry to our business mailbox and an acknowledgement to your address. Files are sent as attachments and are not made public. The acknowledgement does not include a copy of your project documents.

The selected Resend plan normally retains message and delivery data for 30 days. Resend stores message content and delivery data in the USA, including when a European sending region is used. To prevent abuse and duplicate sending, we process enquiry references, checksums, timestamps, sending status and keyed identifiers derived from IP and email addresses. Messages and files are not stored in this technical database. Identifiers are removed after the 24-hour checking window; other sending records after seven days. The next website request triggers cleanup independently of successful sending; if there are no visits, cleanup can occur later. The basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We process your contact details, message and any attached documents to assess your project, clarify questions and prepare a quotation. STRATO GmbH hosts our business mailbox under a data processing agreement. STRATO privacy information.

Processing is based on pre-contractual steps under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or our legitimate interest in answering other business enquiries under Article 6(1)(f). Providing details is voluntary; the form requires name, email and message to identify and handle the enquiry. Other fields and files are optional. The form does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Enquiries and documents are retained as needed to handle the request, support a subsequent business relationship, or establish or defend claims. Where statutory retention applies, further use is restricted to that purpose and deletion follows the applicable period. Please provide only information needed for your project.

External content and statistics

Fonts and images are served with the website. It does not embed external maps, videos, social widgets or advertising pixels. External information pages open only when you follow a link. The host provides operational visitor and page-view counts. We do not use this website to create advertising profiles or make automated decisions about you with legal or similarly significant effects.

Optional statistics with Google Analytics

Only if you choose “Allow analytics” do we load Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This helps us understand interest in pages and parts, and which visitor sources lead to enquiries. Without your consent, the Google tag is not loaded and no Analytics events are sent to Google. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.

Measurement covers cleaned page addresses without query parameters, device and browser information, random browser identifiers, timestamps and selected actions: service choices on the homepage, product views, shortlist actions, completed configurations, form views, enquiry starts, submission attempts, fixed error categories, confirmed form submissions and contact clicks. Enquiries are categorised as parts, engine, reproduction, mixed or general. The IP address is technically processed for the connection. We do not send names, email addresses, free-form searches or messages, file names or file contents as measurement values. Automatic form and search-text measurement, Google signals and personalised advertising are disabled for this integration.

After consent, source attribution uses approved public referring domains and fixed campaign labels, such as Instagram or newsletter. Full referring addresses, arbitrary campaign text and search terms are not transmitted as source details. This cleaned entry information stays only in the open page’s memory; it does not require additional cookies.

We store your choice for 180 days in local browser storage under “rd-consent-v1”. This storage is necessary to respect your decision. After consent, Analytics uses the cookies “rd_ga” and “rd_ga_7566ZFJ5XE” with a maximum lifetime of 180 days, without extending it on every page view. The property retains event data for two months and user data for 14 months; new user activity can restart the user-data retention period. These periods do not apply to aggregated standard reports.

In “Cookie settings”, you can exclude your own visits in this browser profile from analytics. At your request, we store “rd-analytics-excluded-v1” locally until you remove the exclusion or clear browser storage. It does not apply to other devices or private windows. Analytics is disabled on our preview address and in local previews regardless of your choice.

You can withdraw your consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Further measurement stops and accessible Analytics cookies for this website are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You can use the enquiry form and the other website functions without Analytics.

Google may process data in the USA and other countries. Your rights

Subject to the legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it for the future at any time.
