Long vertical shaft B for cylinders 1–2 of Porsche 4-Cam engine types 547 and 692. It transmits the drive to the exhaust camshaft; the shaft, mating gear and existing pair identification are checked together.
The shaft gear meshes with crown wheel B 692 235 02. The connection at the opposite end is checked against main-shaft pinion A 692 223 01. These interfaces have different roles and should both be visible in your enquiry photographs.
The 547/692 version must be distinguished from the long B shaft for Type 587. A similar appearance or the B marking alone is not sufficient to select the part.
